On 22 June 2017, Salah agreed a transfer to Liverpool. He signed a long-term contract with the Reds. For his performances in August, Salah was awarded Player of the Month by Liverpool supporters. On 17 October, Salah netted twice in a 7–0 Champions League win over Maribor, helping Liverpool to the joint-largest ever away win in the competition, and the largest away win by an English club.
Until 1 July this year, Salah signed a new contract with Liverpool for another 3 years at the club becoming Liverpool's highest paid player lasting till at least 2025.
Mohamed Salah won the Premier League Golden Boot award for the 2021-22 campaign alongside Tottenham Hotspur's Son Heung-min. The Liverpool No. 11 ended the season with 23 goals – level with Son – from 35 appearances, earning him the trophy for the third time in his Reds career.
